I’ve long admired designer Donna Wilson’s quirky homewares, so I couldn’t wait to take a peek at her new collection of ten fabrics. Finding a gift for a sewing fan can be tricky – after all, chances are they’ll have bought all the really useful kit already. I know I’m certainly not patient enough to wait for birthdays or Christmas for sewing equipment, especially if I need it to get cracking on a specific project. So, when it comes to buying a present for the sewing fanatic in your life, you might need to think outside the box. Luckily, there is no shortage of sewing-related frippery online. Here are a few of my favourites.
Back in June (where did the months go?) I went to the launch of online boutique Objet de Désir‘s lovely pop-up shop in Quakers Friars (read all about it here). When I heard another was opening on the top floor of Cabot Circus, I just had to head over and take a look.
Yet again, I wanted everything in the store; the shelves are brimming with everything from unique jewellery to beautiful prints. I especially love the bold pompom trim cushions by Sophiesho and the pretty doll jewellery and prints by Emma Garner. The shop is open until 24th December – I’ll no doubt be getting a fair few Christmas presents for family and friends from here.
