I love a winter walk – leaves crunch underfoot (or squelch, if it’s been raining, which it usually has), the air is crisp, and going home and getting warm with a nice cup of tea afterwards is basically the best feeling ever. A recent winter wander gave me a perfect opportunity to wear my autumnal-hued April Rhodes peplum dress. This dress was so, so easy to make – there were no fiddly fastenings, and the construction was very simple, utilising sewing skills I feel comfortable with. I just adore the floaty shape – this a rather wintery version in a crepe suiting, but I’ll definitely be making another in a lighter fabric for the summer.
I accessorised with a blanket scarf I got for Christmas last year (well done mum – they are, like, soooo on trend now), my trusty Longchamp bag and my gorgeous Mandel Duo Boots, which were gifted to me at their blogger event and are probably my favourite boots ever – they are just so comfy and beautifully made.
