A Day in London Town

Despite a rather disastrous attempt to visit Madame Tussauds (three-hour queue? I don’t think so!) we had a thankfully successful day out in London this Bank Holiday weekend. We took a stroll around Covent Garden (loved the cute Moomin shop!) before seeing some kooky modern art at the Tate (including a cloth-covered sewing machine – no I’m not sure why either) and finishing the day with a look around the fab Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair.

50 Fabulous Frocks, Bath Fashion Museum

Still going strong after 50 years, the Bath Fashion Museum was founded as the Museum of Costume by Doris Langley Moore, a writer, costume designer and collector of historic dress. The museum was moved to its current home in the Assembly Rooms in 1963 and has been showcasing the very best in both historic and up-to-date fashion ever since.
