Although the 1980s may be best known for its ridiculous shoulder pads and even worse perms, the folk living it up in alternative London clubs at the time cut an altogether more stylish jib. Despite a rather disastrous attempt to visit Madame Tussauds (three-hour queue? I don’t think so!) we had a thankfully successful day out in London this Bank Holiday weekend. We took a stroll around Covent Garden (loved the cute Moomin shop!) before seeing some kooky modern art at the Tate (including a cloth-covered sewing machine – no I’m not sure why either) and finishing the day with a look around the fab Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair.
