91 Magazine’s New Issue

I’ve long been a fan of 91 Magazine – when I first stumbled across it, I couldn’t believe all those lovely articles were available to read for free. As a writer myself, I know how much hard work goes into producing articles like those – the research, the editing, the photography and, inevitably, yet more proofreading, fact-checking and editing – and it’s something that is increasingly being undervalued in a world where free (but not necessarily good) content is readily available online. In terms on online publishing, 91 Magazine has perfected the format – beautiful photos, original content, appealing advertisers that completely reflect the crafty, independent spirit of the magazine. And, best of all, it’s free to read. Whenever I open up a new edition, I always head straight to the crafty bits, so I couldn’t wait to get reading their wonderful craft special filled with lots of tutorials and inspiration – just the thing to lift a grey January afternoon.
