A Day in London Town

Despite a rather disastrous attempt to visit Madame Tussauds (three-hour queue? I don’t think so!) we had a thankfully successful day out in London this Bank Holiday weekend. We took a stroll around Covent Garden (loved the cute Moomin shop!) before seeing some kooky modern art at the Tate (including a cloth-covered sewing machine – no I’m not sure why either) and finishing the day with a look around the fab Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair.

Bath Vintage & Antiques Market

This weekend I popped along to Bath Vintage & Antiques Market, which is held the first and last Sunday of every month at Green Park Station and is chock-a-block with retro goodies. Although I could’ve come away with enough floral teacups to open a small cafe (and believe me I was tempted) I managed to keep my modest purchases sewing-related – I got two vintage dress patterns and some cute flower buttons for just £6.
